Free Entrance to National Parks For Veterans
A free lifetime Military Pass is available for Gold Star Families and US military veterans. A free annual Military Pass is available for current US military members and their dependents. The passes provide free access to more than 2,000 federal recreation areas, including national parks, wildlife refuges, and forests.
Milo Lemert Day Celebration
September 29, 2023. A special ceremony was held in Crossville to honor the memory and service of 1st Sgt. Milo Lemert. The event started at 10:30 a.m. at the Crossville City Cemetery at the gravesite for Lemert. Activities shifted to the amphitheater next to the Cumberland Country Art Circle Public Library in Crossville at noon. The Ceremony marked the 105th anniversary of the death of Lemert, who died on September 29th, 1918 during WWI. Lemert was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions.

Veteran Groups Continue to Host 4th Grade Tours of Crossville
September 29, 2023
Alex Alenitsch of Fleet Reserve Association Branch 294 conducted a fourth grade tour of Crossville with students from Brown Elementary School. This was the 8th tour given to 4th grade students this school year. There is one more scheduled on the October 4th with Pine View Elementary School Students.
